Excitement Is Stirring Our Hearts!

I finally have a few things to write about concerning our adoption.  Our dossier is complete and translated.  At the end of July our social worker made a trip to Haiti in hopes of partnering with a new orphanage.  The first week of August we got a call from her letting us know that Lifeline (our adoption agency) will now partner with one more orphanage in Haiti.  They were only partnered with one before so this one makes two.  So the decision put before us was which orphanage do we want to use.  After hearing about the new orphanage and reading more about it on the internet we knew God was leading us to the new one - Three Angels Children's Relief.  On August 7th we sent our application to Three Angels; and on August 14th we were approved by them.  So now we are waiting on the partnership between Lifeline and Three Angels to be finalized.  Once all that paperwork is done our dossier will be sent to Three Angels in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti.

We are very excited about this new opportunity.  Three Angels is more than just an orphanage.  They have an amazing Christian school for local Haitian children.  Their test scores in the school have been the highest in that district for quite some time now. They help mothers and widows make money for their families by making and selling none other than the bracelets we've already sold for a fundraiser. These funds help mothers feed their babies, that they may otherwise have to give up for adoption due to insufficient means of caring for them.  And last but not least the orphanage.  This particular orphanage only takes in legally abandoned children.  So all these children have been found or brought to the orphanage because their mother or father cannot be located.  The link below is a better description than I can write.  Everything at Three Angels was destroyed by the 2010 earthquake.  They have rebuilt and are moving forward in wonderful, wonderful ways.

I hope to have more updates in the weeks ahead.  Once the dossier is sent the next step is being matched.  So exciting!!!
